Shamuon Generation is Nominated!

This is our second year being nominated for K/W's Readers Choice. Last Year, Shamuon Generation took the gold with the most votes and we hope to get it again, but we need your help. There are a few nominations to point out: Shamuon Generation has been nominated for best martial arts club and Tom Shamuon has been nominated for local coach of the year for training the Canadian National Martial Arts Team. Additionally, two of our members' businesses have been nominated for awards as well. Saav Kitchens has been nominated for Best Kitchen Cabinet Store, and Dennis Mehrava has been nominated for best local real estate agent.

To Vote: Go to www.WATERLOOCHRONICLE.CA and click on Readers Choice or click here to be taken to the survey directly. Fill in your name and email (one email per submission.). There is a bug in the system where it doesnt allow you to submit more than one email per computer, to get around this you just have to delete your browser's history. Select Shamuon Generation, Tom Shamuon, Saav Kitchens, and Dennis Mehravar. Click submit (Note: you dont have to vote for each category, only the ones you want.)

Congratulations Team Canada!

This year was a very successful tournament. Results were 47 Gold medals, 52 silver and 47 Bronze. The team reunion is Sunday February 15 at Shamuon Generation of Martial Arts at 12:30 pm for those who went to cuba. It is also an open house to anyone who is interested in the 2010 competition. Congratulations Team Canada and Team Cuba on an amazing competition.

SCHEDULE CHANGES

Due to increased registration numbers, we have split up existing classes and added new ones so that our students can benefit from smaller class sizes; leaading to more focused and helpful classes. WE'RE THE BEST CLUB IN K/W !!

We are truly honoured and humbled that people voted for our club as the best in Kitchener/Waterloo. We want to say thank-you to all who took the time to vote for us and make this award a reality. We promise that we will continue to offer exceptional teaching practices in martial arts to live up to the title of "Best Martial Arts Club" in K/W.

Club Tournament Quickly Approaching

June 7th is quickly approaching, and so to is our annual club tournament! Clubs from around the province will be attending so be sure to get your registration forms signed and sent to us by the MAY 28TH deadline.

Because of the more then 200 competitors expected to compete at this tournament, we need as many volunteers as we can get. Whether it be scorekeeping, or general volunteering, any help is greatly appreciated. (Lessons on scorekeeping will be provided).
