Quinten started kung fu at the age of 6 on January 13, 2003 under the direction of Sibok Tom and Sifu Lorenza.
Quinten has competed in various national and international competitions.
At the age of 8, Quinten placed first in the 8 year old intermediate sparring for the PMA in 2005.
Quinten represented Canada on the Canadian National Martial Arts Team for the past few years. In 2006 in Dominican Quinten won a gold medal in traditional weapons and silver medals in traditional forms and sparring.
In Cancun, Mexico in 2007 for the Goodwill Games, Quinten returned home winning a gold medal in sparring and silver medal in traditional forms.
In January 2009 in Cuba for the International Congress of Martial Arts International Games, Quinten won the Kyu Belt Triple Crown gold medalist winning gold medals in traditional forms, sparring, and synchronized as well as a silver medal in traditional weapons.
Quinten is a member of the Generations demonstration team.
