

Sifu Lorenza Shamuon has been in the martial arts for over 19 years. She received her Jr Black Belt at the age of 11, the youngest Black Belt in the history of her club. Lorenza is currently a 3rd Level Black Sash
She has been in many newspaper articles and has also been on TV. She was on The Score's show called Sports Axxess which featured female athletes in Canada.
She is a multiple Triple Crown winner in the PMA circuit for her age category over the years. She is a Provincial, National and International Champion.
She qualified for the Olympics in Athens, Greece in Pankration.
She has been recognized by Prime Ministers, both past and present, and the Ministry of Sport for being Head Captain for the Canadian National Martial Arts Team.
She competed in the Pan American Games in San Diego winning the only gold medal for her team. She has also competed in the World Congress of Martial Arts Tournament in Mexico, winning 3 medals, plus the Most Valuable Competitor. The Following year in Venezuela she won 3 medals again and also won a special medal from the government of Venezuela. She won 3 World Champion Titles in Mississippi and a World Grand Champion Title.
She was recognized by the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame and inducted into the North American Hall of Fame (Junior Achievement) in 2002. In 2003 she was recognized by the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame (Outstanding Teen Martial Artist of the year). She was inducted into the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame (Most Outstanding Female Competitor of the Year) in 2004. She has also been inducted into the World Karate Union Hall of Fame (International Competitor of the Year).
She currently holds the World Congress of Martial Arts Triple Crown World Champion Title (the past 5 years), in 2003 she broke the tournament record for most gold won with 5, but then in 2005 she went to break that record with 7 gold won.
Lorenza choreographs various demonstrations for her club as well as the Canadian National Martial Arts Team.
