Sifu Julian Shamuon

Sifu Julian has been in the martial arts for over 15 years. Currently holds a 2nd Level Black Sash. He has competed in many tournament systems such as PKC (Professional Karate Commission), PMA (Professional Martial Arts Alliance) and Can/Am. He was invited to compete for the Canadian National Martial Arts Team for the 2004 World Cup in Jamaica by the WCOAA (World Congress of Amateur Athletes). He is a 4 time Triple Crown World Champion for the WCOAA as well as a 2 time Triple Crown World Champion for the International Congress of Martial Arts winning various events such as forms, weapons, sparring, open musical and synchronized.

In January 2009, Julian won the Triple Crown World Champion award for winning three gold in forms, sparring and open musical in the International Congress of Martial Arts International Games

In Panama 2010, Julian won the Triple Crown World Champion award for winning three golds in forms, weapons, and open musical in the International Congress of Martial Arts International Games.

He is a member of his clubs and co-ordinator of the Generation Demonstration Team and performs in various demonstrations for the Dragon Boat Races, M & M Meats, Multicultural Festival, Toronto Street Festival, University of Waterloo Canada Day and many more.

Julian is also a member of the Canadian National Martial Arts Demonstration Team

He was recognized by the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame as Jr Blackbelt of the year in 2004 and Jr Blackbelt Male Competitor of the Year in 2005. He has since been inducted into various hall of fames from 2004-2010

Julian is currently training in another martial art called San Shou and is hoping to make the 2012 Olympics. Julian is a 2 time Provincial Champion in both 2009 and 2010. He is a National Champion for 2009 and will be competing in September 2010 for his spot on this years National Team.

In Sanshou, Julian is a member of the 2009 Canadian Wushu Team and has represented Canada on the World Stage competing in the 10th World Wushu Championships held in Toronto, Ontario, this event brought in over 87 countries, Julian was the youngest in the event competing as an 18 year old Sanshou competitor. Julian has already started working towards the Canadian Team once again for wushu and might be representing Canada at the World Cup in Argentina in October 2010.

Julian is also the head instructor for the Generation Xtreme Program.
